About Vernon Fire District

Our History

The Vernon Fire District was established in 2005 as a volunteer fire district. It was changed to a paid fire district in 2007. Today, in 2023, we are a fire district employing highly trained professional firefighters and administrative staff. Our total employees include 10 Full-time Firefighters,12 Reserve Firefighters, 2 Administrative Staff, a Deputy Chief, an Assistant Chief, and a Fire Chief.

Our Mission

Our mission is to protect and serve the community by providing rapid response to emergencies and promoting fire safety education. We strive to be leaders in the fire service and maintain the highest standards of professionalism.

Our Services

Vernon Fire District Fire Department offers a wide range of services to the community including fire suppression, rescue operations, hazardous materials response, and community outreach programs. Our department also partners with local organizations to provide free smoke detectors to residents in need.
