Meet the Vernon Fire District

 Assistant Chief Nick Perrone has 34 years of Fire Service experience, He joined the Vernon Fire District in 2020, after retiring from the Department of Energy as a Fire Chief at a nuclear facility and the City of Maricopa.  Prior to Vernon Nick worked his way through the ranks becoming a Battalion Chief with Gila River Fire and the City of Maricopa working in several different positions including emergency management. Nick holds a B.A. in public safety administration from Grand Canyon University, Nick’s education is wide-ranging from Hazardous Materials to Leadership, Nick is a recent graduate of the Arizona Chief Officer Executive Program in 2023. Nick has been married to his wife Carla for 32 years, Nick and Carla have two children Victoria and Mitch, two grandsons, and two crazy dogs. When Nick is not keeping busy with work you can find him spending time with his family or playing golf inadequately.
